The house, in his words

The sofa is velvet and the apartment is named for it. Bold art hangs on the wall behind it, and the smart TV faces both.

You can walk to restaurants, shopping, coffee and somewhere to go afterwards, and then come back to a quiet apartment. Legacy West is an easy walk and Legacy Hall about five minutes on foot, or a quick drive. DFW and Dallas Love Field are both about twenty five minutes by car.

The king is behind its own door, with blackout curtains and a smart TV of its own. The third person sleeps on the sofa bed in the middle of the living room, which is the whole reason this is a three and not a four.

You can properly cook here. Good pans, knives that are actually sharp, and enough plates and glasses to get through a long stay without running the dishwasher every night. The Ninja on the counter does three jobs. Single serve coffee, a Nespresso compatible espresso shot, and frothed milk to go on top of it. A drying rack too, for whatever you’d rather not tumble dry. If you’re traveling with a baby, the crib and the high chair are already here.

Coffee

Local Good Coffee on Legacy Drive. It's a coffee shop with three lit pickleball courts attached, which sounds like a gimmick right up until you’ve spent an hour there. They pour Lemma, roasted over in Coppell, and the courts run to ten at night.

Dinner

Haywire at Legacy West if you want the hand cut steak and the room that goes with it. If the group would rather graze and stop negotiating about it, Legacy Food Hall is a short walk and everybody orders something different.

One thing to do

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve on West Parker Road, a short drive west. Two hundred acres of prairie and creek bottom with a lookout tower at the top of it, and almost nobody who visits Plano knows it's there.

When do I get the address and the door code?

Straight after you book, from Hospitable. We show the area on this page rather than the street, because the house is somebody else’s home the rest of the time.

Can I bring a dog?

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel within 24 hours of booking and you get everything back, as long as you booked at least 7 days before check in. After that you can still cancel for a full refund up to 2 days before check in.
